i dont see what your worried about it's a good thing.
when you put them too fast it blows and then its full blast rebound and it tops so hard. i used to see it all the time.

well straight up you probably blew it then, its your responsibility. fork probably needs a good servicing anyway.

Oh my god, thats really bad for your dampening system, especially when the flanges around the bottom of the stanchion give out and the fork comes apart while your riding it.
if you really need to , turn it fast one rotation at a time with the allen key and checking, dont just maximize it or youll blow it. do this while the bike is upright.

well that will be the problem, if you set it back to slow, approach the bike in an upright position and try the process with the bike upright. you are aware a slow rebound will be easier on your wrists and make you smoother right? lol
